Ragdoll
Ragdoll cats were first developed by Ann Baker in Riverside, California, in the 1960s. She selected cats with gentle, placid personalities, large size, and long coats with point colouring, and that was how the Ragdoll was born.
Personality
Ragdoll cats are playful, docile, extremely affectionate, intelligent, and love people. They are extremely lovable lap cats who will keep you company all day.
Size
Female Ragdoll's usually weigh 3.5-7kg, while males typically weigh 5.5-9kg. They can grow to 23-28cm in height and 43-53cm in length
Care
Ragdoll cats have an average lifespan of 12 to 17 years. They are at a higher risk for health problems like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, calcium oxalate bladder stones, and a predisposition to FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). A Ragdoll's coat has little undercoat, so it only needs to be combed twice a week.
