Cat Breeds

Sphynx

Sphynx cats originate in Toronto, Canada, where a genetic mutation brought about the birth of a hairless kitten. Hairless kittens were then bred with furred cats, such as the Devon Rex. The gene for hairlessness is recessive, so some offspring were hairless, while the others had fur.
